Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about buying FBA overstock and customer returns on fba.market.

General

What is fba.market?
fba.market is a B2B marketplace for FBA overstock and customer returns in Europe. Unlike traditional liquidation platforms that use per-lot auctions, we operate a bidding sheet system with waterfall allocation — you fill out your preferences once and receive products automatically for months.

Bidding

How does the bidding sheet work?
You fill out a single bidding sheet with 27 product categories, 6 price ranges, and two product sources (overstock and customer returns). For each segment, you set a bid as a percentage of the average retail price and your monthly capacity. The highest bidder gets products first (waterfall allocation). You can update your bids monthly.
How is this different from auction platforms like B-Stock?
Traditional liquidation platforms require you to bid on individual lots — every time, for every shipment. With fba.market, you set your preferences once on a bidding sheet and products flow to you automatically via waterfall allocation. No auction fatigue, no per-lot bidding, predictable unit economics.
What is waterfall allocation?
Waterfall allocation means the highest bidder (by percentage) in each segment gets products first, up to their capacity limit. When their capacity is full, products flow to the next highest bidder. This continues until all products are allocated. Higher bids get priority; more capacity means more product flow.

Products

What kind of products do you sell?
We sell FBA overstock and customer returns across 27 product categories — from Electronics and Home & Kitchen to Toys, Beauty, and Pet Products. These are products from third-party FBA sellers across Europe. Every pallet comes with a detailed manifest listing each item, its condition, and retail price.
What is the difference between overstock and customer returns?
Overstock items are unsold products that sellers want to liquidate — they are typically in original packaging, unopened, and in new or like-new condition. Customer returns are products that buyers returned — they may be opened, lightly used, or have cosmetic damage. Returns are generally cheaper but more variable in condition.

Onboarding

What are the requirements to buy?
You need an active EU VAT registration, verified via VIES during onboarding. This ensures all buyers are legitimate businesses. A dedicated account manager guides you through the entire process.
How long does it take to start receiving products?
From sign-up to first delivery in under 14 days. Registration takes minutes, account manager assignment happens within 1 business day, VAT verification takes 1-2 business days, and allocation starts immediately after your bidding sheet is set.
Is there a minimum order or capacity requirement?
There is no strict minimum capacity, but practical economics favor monthly volumes of at least 100-200 units per category. Your dedicated account manager will help you determine the right capacity levels based on your business needs and budget.
